Maple Bourbon Pimm's Recipe
Note: This post was originally published on my old lifestyle blog, monicadutia.com.
How were your weekends? I've had the worst allergies and been kind of worn out, but managed to decorate cookies with friends on both Saturday and Sunday, and binge watched Netflix Christmas movies. We also started season two of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and as expected, it's so good!I also made us this Maple Bourbon Pimm's recipe yesterday and if you like bourbon and are looking for something festive that packs a punch (it's quite strong!), hopefully you can give it a whirl! I love a good hot toddy and wanted to try something new to utilize our overly full bar area. Pimm's Cups are one of my favorite summer libations and I figured the liqueur would do just as well this time of year :) This would be perfect for a small gathering with friends (or you could really take things to the next level and make a large batch to warm in a Crockpot) or post-Christmas dinner...it takes a little prep since it's best heated up, but the end result is worth the dirty saucepan and extra few minutes!
Maple Bourbon Pimm's Recipe
2.5oz maple bourbon (I used Kobb Creek, and you could use regular bourbon if you prefer)
1.5oz Pimm's
2oz water
Cinnamon sticks
Orange slices
In a small saucepan, combine bourbon, Pimm's, and water. Turn stove on to medium heat.
Once the mix on the stove is hot, pour into glasses and garnish with orange slices and a cinnamon stick. The drink is strong, so squeeze the orange slice and add more if desired. Serve hot, ideally, but it tastes good either way!
